Jim Palmer was raised with his twin sister, Diana, in a loving devout Christian family; by parents who were engaged in church leadership ministry. He was happily married to Jean in 1958 and they were blessed with two boys Stephen and David. They spent 43 years together serving the Lord in church pioneering and pastoral leadership, before Jean was ‘Promoted to Glory’. On retirement from church leadership, he felt called to Mindanao in the Philippines. He married Evelyn at the beginning of this ministry and they served the Lord together as “Barnabas Encouragers” to four different church networks. For eight years they lived nine months of each year in Mindanao, and the finally retired as Jim was approaching his eightieth birthday.
